About Solos

Solos is a legal agency specialized in Dutch employment law, run by Margot Hoving. Based in Berlin, Solos provides a helping hand within a broad spectrum of Dutch employment law questions, conflicts, and opportunities. Did you just say opportunities, not only conflicts? Yes: I strongly believe law, especially employment law, can bring as much positivity and support to your business as it can be a force of stability and protection. How? Why did I start Solos? After learning the ropes of employment law at both an international full-service law firm and a specialized employment law boutique, it was time to start a new adventure. With Solos I bring business sense and a people-oriented approach to the employment law profession. Next to advising and litigating on behalf of my clients, I enjoy publishing legal articles, writing blogs and hosting seminars on topics such as green employment conditions. Besides running Solos, I am currently enrolled in a one-year postgraduate specialization degree in employment law at Grotius Academy to further deepen my employment law knowledge.

While it might be intimidating at first, I will guide you through the legal landscape.

FEES?

Getting to know you matters to me. Whether you are a HR specialist, manager / founder, works council member or an employee, the first introductory call is always free of charge. The purpose of this call is to get to know each other and see whether I can provide a helping hand. Afterwards, we will dive into details, discuss your question(s) and set next steps. To do so I will either work on an hourly rate or we can agree on a fixed price in case that suits better. I strive to be transparent on the expected fees and will create moments to reflect on the road we are walking together to continuously match my work with your needs, expectations, and goals.
